The author suggests thatit is extremely challenging for humans to even think of a bettersolution to the problem. People gain the advantage of solving problems compared tomachines due to some practical reasons. In an organization’ssetting, for example, there is always the diversification of the termproblem. Such diversity can be hard for computers to adapt to but ahuman brain is more flexible and can easily understand what needs tobe done when a new problem arises. Furthermore, only humans have theability to satisfy some deep interpersonal needs. There is always adeep need for people to interact or ask each other questions and suchcannot be replaced by machines as suggested by Colvin (2015). Due tothese reasons, the author succeeds in showing that there is stillhope for individuals to be retained at the workplace even with theintroduction of computers and computer-aided humanoid robots.
