Article Critique Infertility
Infertility occurswhen a given couples are unable to conceive for twelve months. Infertility affects women more than men. The paper analyzes threearticles on infertility based on the target audience, and on how theywill enhance my practices in nursing.
Article#1: Female Infertility Causes by Sudha & Reddy
The article targetedwomen who have experienced infertility for more than 15 years. Thearticle highlighted key causes of infertility, which comprisehormonal deficiency, fallopian tubes blockage, small sized uterus,obesity, and ovulation defects. I believe in the authors’ research,as it involved a large sample of 635 individuals, making their workcredible. The article is highly applicable in my nursing practice, asit will aid in determining and solving many infertility problems. Iwould recommend the articles to people unable to conceive in order toalert them on the possible causes of infertility.
Article # 2: Diagnostic Evaluation
The authors aimed toeducate healthcare professionals the importance of conductingcost-effective, expeditious and systematic infertility evaluations(PCASRM,2015). The idea of the authors was to urge thehealthcare centers to review the current methods utilized in treatinginfertile women. I believe in the authors, as they are from a world’srenowned organization that has proved that almost 85% of infertilitycases can be solved. The article will aid me to utilize the currenttechnology while handling women who suffer from infertility. I wouldrecommend the article to all the healthcare professionals dealingwith infertility cases.
Article #3: Infertility Treatment Prediction by Zarinara, Kamali,hehdi and Akhondi
Thearticle targeted couples who have battled with infertility in theirlives. The authors argued that a prediction model could help couplesto predict if they are capable of conceiving and the amount likely tobe involved. I believe in the authors’ discussion, as theyutilized reliable data from WHO, which is a credible source ofinformation. The model prediction model discussed will enable me toprovide reliable counsels to the patients. In conclusion, I wouldrecommend the article to both healthcare professionals andindividuals struggling to overcome infertility.
