Thelocation of any project is very crucial due to certain aspects suchas accessibility and convenience. The location has to be carefullychosen since it dictates the failure or success of a given project.The wrong choice of location will most likely lead to unprecedentedfailures while the inverse is also true. This paper will consider thelocation choice of the project by highlighting some majordemographics aspects such as area coverage, population, income andethnic groups.

Thelocation of choice is Staten Island, a section of New York City andlocated along the south eastern parts of the United States.it is oneof the highly populated areas with the 2010 census indicating that ithas a population of about 468, 730. About 13.2% of this populationare below the age of 18 while 9.9% are above the age of 65 years[CITATION Sta17 l 1033 ].Ithas a geographical coverage of about 265km2.ThedryLandfillsabout 58.5 square miles of this region while the rest (44 squaremiles) is covered by water. The island is a section of New Jersey.The island is the highest peak (Todt Hill-125m) among the surroundingregions such as coast proper and Atlantic coasts.

Theisland has various ethnic backgrounds such as the non-Hispanic White(64%), African America (10.6%), Alaska Native (0.4%), NativeAmericans (0.2%) and others (2.6%)[CITATION Sta17 l 1033 ].About28.6%of the local population in the Island speaks English as part of theirhome language. About 27.3% of those aged over 25 have acquired atleast a bachelor’s degree.

MajorEuropean countries inhabitants and business operators were inclusiveof Italians, Polish, Ireland, Ukraine, Norwegians, Greeks, French,and Russians. Italian Americans have the highest population of theisland. Most of the African Americans and Hispanics live around theExpressway. On the northern side of the island. The main religionpracticed in the island is the Roman Catholic, but recently theEgyptian Copts have started to gain presence. The average income perperson is $55, 039, while the Median plateaus around $64, 333. Theper capita incomes is $23, 905.10% of the population live below thepoverty line.
