Developmentof leadership skills are the activities that improve the talents, abilities and personalities. Leadership development assists inexpanding the capability of individuals in any working environment.Nevertheless, leadership development depends on the quality ofprograms, acceptance of the authority, how it is supported by theadministration, and the characteristics of the employees.

Myorganization help employees to develop their leadership skills in thefollowing ways. First, it provides the employees with theopportunities to grow in order to pursue leadership roles within theorganization. For instance, the St. Paul’s Hospital Division ofCardiology takes part in paying formal education for employees, thereis internal training where employees are allowed to attendprofessional, developmental and work-related seminars. Secondly, itsworkers are encouraged to build their networks that teach them how tocopy powerful connections, initiate talks with outsiders and act asleader personalities thus this help turn good employees into greatleaders. On the other hand, an organization that develops leadershipskills for its employees has a lot to gain. Foremost, it is able toadvance employee skills as they are educated to be good managers.Secondly, by having regular training and advancing skills ofemployees, the organization moves forward and remains competitivewithin the market.

Yes,employees in St. Paul’s Hospital are often empowered because itsworkers always feel free to question the status quo of theorganization’ s fast changing technology and at the same time theyare able to offer new ideas that have helped the hospital moveswiftly past the competitors. Equally, the organization is able todeliver quality services the employees have the authority to makedecisions in the absence of their administrators who have created afeeling of true customer service which has harvested much bettercustomer loyalty. According to McShane &amp Von (2016), empoweringemployees improve productivity. For instance, they feel confidentthat their ideas of how to advance productivity is valued, listenedand acted upon. Secondly, empowered employees enhance customerrelations because they are provided with freedom and authority tomake decisions and sometimes they go beyond in the face ofestablished rules and procedure.

Inconclusion, it is apparent that leadership development aims toproduce leaders of high quality in order to inherit senior positionsafter they become vacant. With this program, high-performers whoboost the productivity of an organization and attain end- the goalresults are identified. On the hand, the program enables workers totransit into various leadership roles easily.
