Fluidcontrol valve
Thisis a specially designed valve to regulate the pressure through whicha given liquids or fluids flow. They give a response corresponding tothe control signal given by the controlling element such as gauges. They are mostly used in control systems in any plant manufacturingsystem. In any control system, there is a disturbance that willaffect the stability of the whole system. To be able to control suchdisturbances in the system, sensors are used to detect changes in thesystem’s variables from the set points. The controller detects thechanges and sends a corrective response to the actuator which is thecontrol valve. In this situation, the control valve will allow morefluid or little fluid into the system regulating the disturbancevariable to the desired set point in the system. This will help thesystem to maintain the process variable at the desired set points. The control valve will manipulate flowing fluid which providescompensation for the load disturbances. The valves range from avariety of simple valves to complex electro-hydraulic valvesautomatically adjusting to changes in pressure and temperatures ofthe fluid in the industry (Panet al 2013).
Conclusion
Controlvalves play a critical role in the maintenance of the processvariables in a system at the desired set points. This feature ensuresthe quality of the end product in the manufacturing chain ismaintained at high standards. The valves can either be manual controlvalves or the electro-hydraulic valves which automatically change thepressure in fluid once they receive a signal from the controller ofthe system. For any control valve to work efficiently, propermaintenance should be done and replacement of worn out parts doneaccordingly (Panet al 2013).
