Re:Professionalism in the Workplace
Intoday’s competitive securities industry, the way that firms areperceived by the outside world matters. Our firm has risen to thedemands of the industry as we have strived to establish and maintaina professional image that represents the values that we hold dear toour partners and customers. Currently, we have a relaxed dress codethat has made our employees comfortable in the workplace. However, webelieve that our current dress code has resulted in a more relaxedattitude towards work and it is for this reason that we need todevelop a more formal approach.
Whilethe firm understands that employees can use their good judgment inchoosing appropriate dressing for the workplace, the introduction ofthese new codes are not meant at restricting any of our employees’freedom of expression. Contrary to this, we feel that we need tocontinue portraying a positive image to our customers, partners andthe public. Just as we have made our name in the securities industry,we also need to ensure that customers can rely on our firm’sprofessionalism and excellence and formal dressing would go a longway in encouraging this.
Tohelp in this transition, the company has organized an event that willbe held at Bensonfor Business,a conservative men and women’s store, on Friday, April 11. Duringthe occasion, all employees will treated to offers on wine, cheeseand clothing. Nevertheless, the firm recognizes that there might beresistance in the purchase of clothes and accessories and it is forthis reason that an arrangement is in place to ensure that all ouremployees will receive a 20 percent on all items in the store.
Whilethis change is unprecedented, it was inevitable, as our organizationbelieves in flexibility. Ultimately, our hope is that the change willtransform the business positively. For any questions and suggestions, please feel free to contact the communications and human relationsoffice through the formal channels. Thank you.
