Module 6 Response MBA565
Response1 on Discussion 1
I concur withDonald that promotional campaign entails a series of advertisementsmade using different tools to pass the message to the targetedcustomers. I like the various ways employed in carrying a campaign. The use of the media services is economical and influential ratherthan the other sources that reach only a few customers. I enjoyedgoing through the part that highlighted the skills used in the makingpromotions and adverts. The skills are excellent for making theadverts as they incorporate a broader continuum of our lifestyles.
It is appealingto have science and art operate at the same time, but it isimpossible for the two to function without communication. I like theargument by Williams, (1997) in his work that art only becomesimportant to the people if it influences their feelings in theirlives. I agree that there is a direct relationship between the targetmarket and the promotional method used. Due to the correlationbetween the market and the promotion, there is need to do research onthe most appropriate method for making the promotion.
Response 2 on Discussion 2
I like the definition of art obtained from where she states that artis any activity used in making a product with a communicative purpose(Maraviglia, 2010),. I concur with Laura that the marketers will comeup with artistic products with the intention of passing some message. Her idea is consistent with the contemporary marketing strategiesused by the marketers. They are more in using art to giveinformation.
The art used can either make the feelings of people to be evil orgood. The idea is consistent with Laura’s discussion when she saysthat the promotional adverts are supposed to pass positive feelingsto the consumers. The part that discusses the elements incorporatedin promotional advertisement such as the markets, competitors, customers among others is thrilling. I agree that it is wise first tohave a better understanding of the market to come up with a gooddesign for marketing ones products.
