My Speech My Speech
Itis with great honor that I express my appreciation to be here todayto talk to you about sports in our beloved nation. As you all know, sports are a significant part of our people`s culture. The UnitedStates takes pride in the fact that it is home to several sports thatare practiced worldwide including basketball, tennis, and baseballamong others. I fell in love with sports at a young age. I used toread sports magazines and watch sports channels, unlike other kidsduring that time. This love has fully bloomed to a total sportsfanatic because they excite me.
Iwould like to express my gratitude to you members of the Congress foryour unwavering support towards the sports sector in this country.Through that support, the sports industry in the United States hasseen tremendous growth, and it continues to develop. Sports havenumerous benefits to a country. The following are some of them:
First, they bring people together. This enhances bonding and socializingwhile preserving the country’s cultural orientation. Second, sportscreate employment opportunities for people ranging from the players, the managers, coaches, doctors to cleaners. This helps people earn aliving to support their families and raise their standards of living.Again, sports earn the government revenue in the form of tax, whichcan be used to support other economic sectors through the federalbudget.
Therefore,it is evident that the importance of sports in our country cannot beunderestimated. As such, on behalf of the U.S citizens and the sportsfraternity, I urge you as the people’s representatives to championthe elevation of our country’s sports industry by supportingpolicies that enrich this industry. Thank you
