Healthmatters are complicated situations to deal with, and any problemsolving requires a prior knowledge about an illness. A research teamfrom a health organization made an observation on a communitylifestyle and noted elements such as activities that may result inhealth risks. The examined community constitute of different ethnicgroups which have an impact on population attendance in the hospital, calling the need for a survey exercise. Following the windshieldfindings made from a community served by a health organization, thestudy team realized primary health concerns for a diverse population.
SexualTransmitted Diseases. The problem raised significant interest especially to a communitythat has a young generation who have less knowledge about the dangersresulting from sexual activities. The illness affects individuals ofall backgrounds and mostly familiar to people between the age of15-24 years. As from the survey observations, there are toolindicators of teenagers like colleges and universities, therecreational centers such as sports grounds or film centers. Thereport confirms that young people in this community are vibrant inlife activities and without the right knowledge like diseasesawareness, they may contract diseases.
Healthproblems resulting from poor environment or housing.Public health has a concern about the living standards of people whofails to maintain a healthy house environment. Issues like poorsanitation, inadequate water supply, and weak safety measures properelectric installation could result in health risks. The researchfound that the population in the study failed to be aware ofphysical, chemical and biological hazards. For instance, keepinghouse unpainted, close to other structures with bushes around thearea may trigger health effects like accommodating diseases vectorssuch as mosquitos. Again, the activities around the housing compoundsuch as industries may contribute to airborne diseases and impropersanitations causing serious problems (Browne, Varcoe, Lavoie, Smye,Wong, Krause & Fridkin, 2016). A proper shelter with a cleancompound provides adequate area for children and adults to live.People get to enjoy or relieve stress when relaxing in a comfortableplace and most importantly, it is healthy to raise kids in a placefree from accidents.
Spreadof Germs or deadly viruses. The health organization pays critical attention to the risks factorsassociated with migration work. In the survey report, there arerefugees people noted dwelling in camps. The sanitary conditionswhere migrants originate is undefined, and through the process ofhosting those individuals, viral diseases may get brought to thenatives. From the observation, it becomes noted that people in thestudied community socialize quite well, but their process ofinteraction raises a question on health safeties. Without condemningthe immigrants, probably they are infected with illnesses such asinfluenza which is a trending disease according to recent hospitalrecord.
Comorbidityproblem.Comorbidity refers to a health situation brought by two or more thantwo disorders simultaneously (Browne et al., 2016). The community inquestion is prone to mental illness, comorbid problem, especially therefugees. The health organization and research team take aconsideration that, immigration issues result from nationsexperiencing conflicts. Hence the displacement induces stress to thevictims. A state of being stressed, desperate, lonely, depressed as arefugee could trigger mental illness and thus become a concern to thehealth providers.
Howthe organization serves the health care concerns
Currently, the team seeks to step in and intervene on health issues that face acommunity studied earlier on. The methods of intervention includeemulations of strategic measures governed by health leadership. Tocurb the problem of sexually transmitted infections, healthprofessions together with psychological departments work jointly inavailing advisory or counseling services in institutions. The effortis productive in that young generation gets equipped with knowledgeabout health risks associated with their age. The organization hasestablished clinics at all corners of the community parameter, totest and examine health conditions of people (Browne et al., 2016).Through public announcements such as the media and schoolauthorities, they urge individual to perform health consultations.Additionally, the hospital has formulated a mandatory diseasesassessment to every patient who attends for health cares. Here peopleget advised on the best ways to live healthily and how to maintainhygiene or diets.
Whensolving the issue of mental illness, the best approach is to studythe patients and help him, or she regain a healthy life. The processinvolves encouraging the victims to avoid irrelevant measures whichthey resume claiming to relieve stress problems such as drugs oralcohol. A state of depression is highly discouraged by healthofficers since it results in stress that causes mental illness. Thus, the organization not only does it treat the infected individuals butalso having psychology expert to spend time with depressed patients.
Also, the health team is communicating effectively with parents in thesociety urging them to protect children from an ailment. Parents areadvised through clinical counseling, media, and public health forumsways to live healthier and needs to observe proper housing. Probablythe emergence of some diseases results from a lack of knowledge aboutthe dangers of certain activities (Xin, Birch, Weiming, Huifen,Embrett & Qingyue, 2016). Therefore, these challenges couldbecome avoided when individuals become educated. The health team isalso linking with government bodies to help solve contraction ofviruses from external invasion. Health departments are beingestablished along the borders to check people moving in and out of astate. Additionally, through the help of local state authority, organizational bodies have been formed to deal with the problem ofdumping by the industries. There are principles that any trade orbusiness activity must adhere to, to avoid environmental pollution.
Gapsin the healthcare services provided to the population
Thefirst, the knowledge gap. Most people in the community maybe beilliterate and lack skills to address health problems. Thus, irrespective of organization’s effort to educate the society theknowledge may fail to reach all individual thus continuing theexistence of health issues. Second, communication gap. The communityis composed of different people some with foreign languages acting asa barrier to proper disease treatment. Patients gap is anotherhindrance to a successful health operation (Xin et al., 2016). Thegap may emerge when a patient acquires a different perception ofhealth care thus failing to comply with the organization’s target. The emergence of differences in medical assistance service resultdisparities where a majority fail to benefit the programs of theorganization.
Evidence-basedstrategies to bridge the gaps in health care service
First, employing behavior change strategy. The method involves conducting aprompt practice on patients by the health workers where they get toconstruct patients charts and workshops. In these seminars, specialist interacts with participants and seeking ways to identifyproblems. The second plan is to put the findings into practice(Thomson,2017).When employing changes, interventions require tailoring at each stagewhile addressing the barriers of administration. For instance, whencarrying out diseases screening, it may not require intervention, butpatient’s chart is vital. Another strategy is to plan on how toimprove the medical practices. The health providers may be needed tohave a self-reflection and discussion with other peers. The exerciseis crucial in making an adjustment that may open up chances to reachhealth services to limited individuals (Thomson,2017).Also, professions have to read materials as secondary sources to gaininformation as a way of improving health practice
Barriersto implanting evidence-based strategies
Thefirst barrier is inadequate time. The practitioner may be unable toaccess materials that seek to gather more information about healthprocedures. When serving a large population, there is chance of lessor no time for a break, thus failing to seek clarification elsewhere. The problem of inadequate time goes in hand with a failure to accessevidence (Xin et al., 2016). A health care provider is unlikely toaccess to his or her peer where necessary clarification can get made. The third barrier is weak communication. Poor communication ofpractitioners may attribute to the failure of patient’s adherencewhen offering advice. Next is a lack of skills and knowledge. Healthservice provider could sometimes have little skills needed to EBP forinstance, not understanding the meaning of the term, Evidence-BasedPractice. Another barrier could be patient’s attitude. Neglectionof advice from a practitioner by the patients facilitates weakimplication of medical practice strategies since they may not followinstructions well.
Assessmentof medical information is a vital process since it helps establishsources of health challenges, thus easing ways to solve the problems.Once health issues become established, an organization performevidence-based procedures in the correct routine to save people’slife. However, the process to handle health situation may be hamperedby barriers as discussed. Thus, the proper procedure requiresadequate information.
