Sex Crime Sex Crimes
The society hasundergone many changes since women got their constitutional rights tovote. The time of confining women to households, chores are longgone. The new era is about equality, the realization that whetherwoman or man we are all human and none should be treated as a lesserbeing (Malamuth, 2014).  Discussions that a few decades ago wereconsidered a taboo, for example, LGBT are now in public domain. Thepaper will answer questions concerning sex rules and related crimes.
Question#1: Sex Standards
Sex standardsconcern the moral behaviors of men and women in expressing theirsexuality. For example, men define what morally permissible sexualpractices of a woman or wrong, women have no say. The standards needto be changed to conform to the new reality. Both males and femalesshould have an equal say in determining what should be right orwrong. For example, if a woman engages in sexual acts with differentmen, she is considered promiscuous. On the other hand, the males(accomplishes) involved are not bashed (Malamuth, 2014). I support, equality of women and men concerning sexuality. For example, the lawshould be clear on the actions that should be taken on peopleinvolved in the act of prostitution and ensure women are not unfairlytargeted. The double standard where the woman is always in the wrongand her accomplice (man) a victim needs to stop. If justice is to beserved, equal treatment should be given to both.
Question#2:Not All Pedophiles are Alike
I do not disputethe notion that, some pedophiles get attracted to the children but donot molest them. It is practically possible. Furthermore, the ideathat pedophilia could be a disease may be right. However, the studyin this area is hampered by the strict punishment (castration) set bythe society. Pedophiles never openly talk about the problem. Therefore, gathering data on the number of pedophiles in the UnitedStates and looking for anomalies in their system is nearly impossible(Malamuth, 2014).  In my view, pedophiles goal is to dominateand exploit the child. The interest of the pedophile is not to helpthe child but to exploit them. Therefore, no matter the suggestions,in my view, all pedophiles are alike.
Question#3: Problems in Implementing Pornography Laws
In my opinion, the laws are weak because a majority of the cases ofchild pornography occurs in homes and are perpetrated by people knownto the child. The current laws focus on the people who generate andtraffic such videos. The loopholes are in the allowance of adultpornography. It offers avenues that can be utilized by people withwrong intentions to traffic child pornography. Secondly, theconstitution does not expressly define the rights of a child.Combating the problem will require the society to agree thatpornography is wrong whether for adult or children. Consequently, sites providing access to these materials should be closed.
Question#5Watching Pornography and Sex Crimes
I totally agreewith the idea that pornography promotes sexual offences. For example, when a man is aroused, and a child is around, they may end upmolesting the minor. Furthermore, they may rape adults to satisfytheir desires or try what they saw on the porn. Therefore, pornography promotes sex crimes.
In conclusion, the society is faced with new challenges that never existed in the1800s. Addressing the problem of the sex crime will require a mindsetby the society. Notably, a new set of values should be instilled inthe community to promote morality.
