Brief Description of how the company completes its work: The Company employs different motivational mechanisms that are enticing to their staff and can make them willing to work hard to achieve them. Such mechanisms include employee benefits such as free air travel for their families, and sharing of profits (Singh, & Sadri, 2015). Research theories have found that motivation strategies are an important tool that can make a person work better. When a person is a working towards achieving something that is enticing to his or her needs, he/she is more likely to do it perfectly in order to achieve the result (Healy, 2016). The motivation strategy is like a stimulus that boosts their capacity to perform well in their jobs.

Currently, it is able to handle about 3900 departures in a single day during the peak seasons. A large customer base means profits for any reputable company, and as such Southwest airline manages to net over $2billion in profits annually (Singh & Sadri, 2015).

Satisfying employee needs is a key factor when it comes to SouthwestAirline management strategies that help ensure it is able to meet thecustomer demands. has shown that it values itsemployees more and has always put their needs first above everythingelse (Healy, 2016). This strategy is aligned with Porter’s gametheory that dwells on the interaction of individuals. The company’sorganization culture is one that encourages people to have fun whiledoing their job. This strategy has seen the company manage to reduceits turnover rates while at the same time increasing itsproductivity. The positive environment created for the employees hasin turn led to customer and shareholder satisfaction that resulted inthe company’s success today.

The company has managed to achieve so many things using theirmotivation strategies such that it would be hard to select somethingspecific that they would need to work on. Everything good has to beappreciated as it deserves.
Recommendation1: I would only recommend that the company continues toenforce the strategies that it implemented to enable their employeesto feel more appreciated and motivated.

Conclusion: With the employee motivation strategies that have been noted, it is easy to understand why most people would want to seek employment with Southwest airline. A good manager is one that understands employee needs and is ready to work with them in order to achieve a unit goal.
Personal take-away: I feel that I would be better of working for a company that best understands my needs as a person.
