The Brain The Brain
Thearticle ‘Shape of Brain Tied to Personality Traits` is offundamental importance to my career as a nurse. The article examinesvarious characteristics of the brain such as the area, thickness andthe amount of folding found in the cortex. The article is criticalsince I will be able to understand that the every person has a uniquebrain structure and which determine their intrinsic behaviors. Whenhandling patients as a nurse, I will be in a position to establishwhy they react and behave in a particular manner, through an analysisof their brain structure. Primarily, neuroticism is a behavior, whichis associated with a negative emotional state of a person, is linkedto a thicker cortex (Nauert, 2017). However, those with a thinnercortex, are believed to be open-minded and overly happy. Therefore, when treating conditions like depression, ADHD, and autism, I will befocusing on the structure of the patients` brain. The informationprovided in the article is also important when determining themedication for the patients, upon observing their behaviors.
Atopic on the relationship between the shape of the brain andpersonality traits will be fundamental in my career, and I willmaximize it to my level best. I will be able to scrutinize thedifference in people with psychiatric and neurological conditions, based on the structure of the brain. I will also be adequatelyequipped with insurmountable information and knowledge to understandthe changes that take place in the brain, and how they influence theway people behave. Furthermore, I will observe the traits of thepeople, and give advisory concerning how they can comfortably livewith others, especially when they do not share inherentcharacteristics. I will also, upon observing the shape of toddlers`brain, ascertain the way their traits would be, and advise theirparents accordingly on how to handle them.
