Hobbies and areas of personal interests are one of the most commonaspects of life that many people can relate. Life gives us manychoices and alternatives to choose from, it from these choices that Imade art to be one of my chosen hobbies. From a young age, I alwaysadmired textual and visual art, but I never had any real connectionuntil recently. Art is a form that mainly focuses on using skills(acquired/ natural) to come up with a context that highlights bothimaginative and real aspects of human lives or everyday objects[ CITATION Che17 l 1033 ].Painting is one of the primary forms in which enthusiasts expressvisual art. In this context, I will describe my visit and experienceto the New Exhibition Museum, relate it to my current career goalsand possibly pinpoint my plans in this given field.
I recentlyvisited the museum and was lucky to find many presentations going on.To be more specific, I had visited the museum on 8th ofJanuary 2017. However, not every presentation was appealing to theeye, but a few just to mention caught my attention this piece of art,was unique, beautiful, well thought and enlightening at the sametime. The art was known as ‘My Barbarian` which went further aheadto reiterate that the audience is always on the right side. Freshfrom celebrating the New Year, our lectures were yet to resume, and Ithought, why not indulge by engaging in my favorite hobby and parttime career course? After all, I am doing a course in visual arts sothat visit would also serve an educational purpose.
The piece ofart was highlighting some of the common issues in the society such aseducation and public engagement and then went ahead to focus ondemocracy in the outlined perspectives. The title relating to theaudience being right was contextually ironic and intended to bringout the spectacles and hyperbolic nature of the American politic atthe time. This was the period preceding the wearing in if the newlyelected president, Donald Trump. The title stands for the possibilityof the audience always being correct unless proven otherwise.
I take a course in visual arts during my free time. This course is inline with my childhood goals of creating a meaningful connection withart as one of the most crucial tools of retelling history byreincarnating the events that occurred some time ago and weaving theminto our current fabric of historical events. Previously I did nothave any idea that one could use visual art to pinpoint or tacklesome of the prevent issues in the society today. Attending the eventwas eye opening, as it gave me the idea of using some imaginativecreativity and integrating is with the reality mesh of daily life totackle some of the thorny issues in a funny and educative, yetdetailed form. Additionally, I made some new friends who also have asimilar interest in the field of art as I do. These new friends willprovide me with a new learning experience and more growthopportunities. This is mostly so since I realized that despite thesenew friends taking varying courses from the one I am undertaking, weare all in the same field.
To sum up, I can say that visiting the museum was fantastic andeducative at the same time. I the trio made me realize that I was noton the wrong track regarding my personal and professional careerexpectations. Doing what you love to help change the world to abetter place is the right calling for everyone. Most of my friendsthink that one has to get a salary or financial benefits if they areto make any positive development in the world, but this is flawedideology, which they need to discard. I would recommend this museumto my friends who intend to expand their knowledge in arts and changetheir outlook on various life issues.
